Acting Training System

This programme adopts a systematic film and screen acting training framework, fundamentally rooted in the acting principles and performance philosophy developed by Konstantin Stanislavski, while further expanded and adapted to meet the practical demands of modern film and television production.

Rather than merely replicating traditional stage acting methods, the programme focuses specifically on screen performance training for films, television dramas, short films, digital media content, and real production environments. The training emphasises the integration of emotional truth with cinematic presentation – enabling actors not only to genuinely experience the character internally, but also to communicate that truth effectively through the camera lens

The training system includes:

• Character psychology and behavioural analysis
• Emotional authenticity and layered performance development
• Objective-driven acting and motivational structure
• Relationship dynamics and subtext training
• Subtle on-camera reactions and emotional control
• Breath, rhythm, eye focus, and body-state training
• Camera awareness, framing, and actor-camera interaction
• Continuity performance and on-set execution discipline
• Green screen and imaginary object interaction training
• Professional film-set workflow and technical collaboration

The programme strongly emphasises that screen acting is not solely about “performing a role,” but about executing emotions, reactions, and behaviours with precision within the coordination of camera movement, lighting, sound, framing, editing logic, and cinematic storytelling structure.

Therefore, while preserving the essential foundation of Stanislavski-based character realism and psychological truth, the company’s acting system further integrates cinematic language, directing methodology, camera perspectives, editing continuity, and professional on-set collaboration into its training structure. This enables actors to adapt effectively to the realities of modern film production rather than remaining limited to conventional theatrical expression alone.

Compared to stage acting, screen acting requires a significantly higher level of precision, subtlety, emotional control, and technical awareness. The camera magnifies even the smallest eye movement, breathing rhythm, pause, or psychological shift. As such, actors must develop strong emotional discipline, camera sensitivity, and professional execution capability.

JJFILM Institute of Film & Cinematic Arts (IFCA) upholds the philosophy of professional film performance training and firmly believes:

“No One Is Born an Actor — Every Actor Is Trained.”

The programme not only focuses on artistic performance development, but also prioritises professionalism, discipline, execution ability, adaptability, and long-term industry readiness — with the goal of nurturing actors who are truly capable of working within real film and television production environments.

“Teaching Philosophy”

“Talent is merely a seed; what makes it bloom is systematic training and relentless practice.”
