IFCA Film Education Development & Social Cultural Engagement
IFCA has long been committed to integrating film education, drama education, and social cultural development.
Founder and Director, Yeo Sze Liang, consistently emphasises:
“Drama is the Best Education.”
IFCA believes that film and drama are not merely forms of artistic creation, but also powerful educational tools that cultivate character development, communication skills, social responsibility, and cultural understanding. Through professional film training, character studies, and the exploration of real social issues, IFCA aims to nurture deeper humanistic thinking and social awareness among children, youths, and the wider community.
Over the years, IFCA has actively collaborated with various academic institutions, colleges, and educational organisations, including:
• Southern University College
• New Era University College
as well as multiple community and cultural education organisations to further promote the growth and practice of film and performing arts education.
On 29 November 2022, the IFCA team was invited to participate in the Centenary Celebration Programme of Pei Chun Independent High School, Pontian, Johor, Malaysia, including the special event Campus Arts Day:
” Youth & Creativity.”
During the event, more than 400 students participated in IFCA’s public welfare film promotion and film-sharing session. The directing team, actors, teachers, and students engaged in meaningful interactions and discussions through film, drama, and real production experiences, exploring topics related to youth development, arts education, cultural expression, and social values.
IFCA also continues to establish long-term collaborations with social organisations, educational institutions, and community groups, using film and drama as platforms for education, public dialogue, and social communication.
Educational Screenings & Public Dialogue
IFCA organises campus film screenings, film-sharing sessions, and public talks in schools, colleges, and public venues to encourage deeper discussions surrounding culture, social issues, human values, and storytelling. These activities aim to inspire youths to better understand society and contemporary issues through film and performing arts.
Social Initiatives & Community Collaboration
IFCA collaborates with social service organisations, community groups, and welfare institutions to raise public awareness regarding family relationships, domestic violence, mental health, youth development, and family well-being through films, storytelling, and public engagement activities.
Community Cultural Participation
IFCA initiates and supports various community-based cultural projects that encourage youths, women, and senior citizens to participate in film production, drama activities, cultural exchange, and creative expression. Through the arts, participants are empowered to build confidence, express their voices, and contribute to social storytelling and cultural preservation.
Through film and drama education, IFCA aims to build a platform that integrates arts, humanity, education, and social values, while continuously nurturing a new generation of film and performing arts talents with creativity, responsibility, cultural awareness, and humanistic values.
